Vegetarian Food Studio: Cardiff

Although you can always manage to find a vegetarian friendly meal of some description on most restaurant menu’s the choice is of course limiting and you often end up eating the same thing time and time again, no matter when you choose to go, goats cheese tart springs to mind! In an ideal world I would find a restaurant that caters fully for vegetarian people as well as being appealing to those meat eaters that are accompanying me, and I’ve think I’ve done just that!

Cardiff, simply by typing in vegetarian restaurant Cardiff to Google, why didn’t I do this sooner? Vegetarian Food Studio is situated in Penarth which is a lovely part of Cardiff and actually close enough to walk to and back from my flat, cue the glasses of wine at dinner! My boyfriend who is a meat eater was actually keen to check it out too, so skips surrey weekender he had planned with the boys and joins me in a nice romantic meal in a restaurant of my choice .. at last! The Vegetarian Food Studio also caters for vegans which is handy to know as vegan friendly dishes are few and far between. I opted for a Tofu Capsicum curry because I adore torfu and you could really taste the freshness of the vegetables and spices in the dish! My boyfriend had an oriental inspired dish of Chinese Bhel which is soft noodles, manchurian and oriental vegetables cooked in garlic chilli sauce. We both absolutely loved our meal, as well as the excellent service we had from the wonderful staff. I will definitely be visitjng the Vegetarian Food Studio again and what is more they have a takeaway menu too for those cold winter nights when you want to stay in.. Perfect!
